Northern Pacific #517 Seat Repairs:

The Minnesota 2, now formally known as the Northern Pacific #517, has had all of its lettering stenciled on. It is almost ready for a season at the NSSR.

We are looking for people to donate money toward the recovering of the cars seats.

Railway Post Office Project:

At present there is no explanation of activity or the process for working the mail car. It would be very helpful to a younger generation to learn what a Railway Post Office did. We are working on a solution for that issue and have a plan. The Postal Service produced a video on the RPO (Railway Post Office) cars that is very informative.

We are hoping to loop the video in a display inside the car. Of course all we need is the money to do so. If you are interested in donating to this fund please note your pledge in the box and we can set up a designated fund for this purpose.

NEW WHEELS HAVE FINALLY BEEN FOUND FOR THE DM&IR COACH #33. A private donor, donated the wheel sets to the museum! They will be put under this historic and famous coach in April of 2008.
